Evidence library

79 sources, tagged and mapped to arguments, for every current topic.

Each entry has a tag, the full citation, what the source shows, which argument it supports, and a link. Open the source, select the words you will read, and the card cutter formats the card. We do not paste other people's text; you read the original, which is also what evidence ethics requires.

Sources verified September 13, 2026. Industry-funded and advocacy sources are labeled in their entries.

How to turn an entry into a card

  1. Click the source link and read the passage in context. Confirm the finding says what the entry says; if not, tell us.
  2. Click "Cut this card." The card cutter opens with the tag, citation, and link filled in.
  3. Paste the passage, select the words you will read, click Mark, and add the card to your file.
  4. Export the file and paste it into your case document. Every card now has a real citation you can hand to an opponent.

Why no precut passages

Camps and briefs sell files of precut cards. We could paste passages too, but a student who reads a card without reading the source cannot answer questions about it, and copying passages wholesale is the kind of evidence practice that gets teams disqualified. Our library gives you everything except the paste: the finding, the citation, and the link. Reading the source takes two minutes and makes the card yours.

For thousands of ready files anyway, the case archive links the Open Evidence Project and openCaselist.

New sources by email

When a topic's library is expanded, usually after each NSDA release and after major reports publish.
