What this site collects, in plain words.

Stays on your device

These features save data in your browser's local storage. It never reaches CUDL or anyone else, it is not shared between devices, and clearing your browser data erases it.

• The CUDL Guide profile: school, city, and event interest, if you enter them.
• The practice log: which tools you used and when, quiz scores, and flashcard mastery.
• Your work in the case builder, digital flow, and card cutter.
• Whether you dismissed the season announcement bar.

To erase it: use the erase button on the practice log, the clear button in the guide's settings, or clear site data in your browser.

Forms

When you submit a sign-up or contact form, the fields you filled in go to CUDL's Google Sheet and to info@cltdebateleague.org so a coach can reply. We use that information to respond and to run the program. We do not sell it, rent it, or send it to anyone outside CUDL. We do not add you to a mailing list unless you used a sign-up box that says so.

Students under eighteen: the student and family form asks for a parent or guardian name and contact. A coach will involve a parent or guardian and your school before anything happens. If you would rather a parent submit the form, that is fine.

Requests that leave your device

• Fonts. Typefaces load from Google Fonts on every page, which means Google sees the request and your IP address.
• The map. The communities page loads a map library and map tiles from third-party servers. Every other page works without any external request beyond fonts.
• The CUDL Guide with Gemma connected. If CUDL has connected the guide to Google's Gemma model, your question, the pages it matched, the current topics, and your saved school and city go to that service to produce the answer. The guide's status line says whether Gemma is connected. With it off, the guide answers from the site index and nothing leaves your browser.
• Links you click. Source links go to other organizations, which have their own policies.

What we do not do

• No advertising, ever.
• No analytics or tracking scripts, no cookies for tracking.
• No selling or sharing of anything you send us.
• No account required to use any tool or read any guide.

Hosting

The site is a set of static files served by Cloudflare, which keeps standard server logs, including IP addresses, to run the site. Form submissions go to a Google Sheet in CUDL's own Google Workspace account, and a copy goes to info@cltdebateleague.org so a coach can reply. No other company receives them.
